ASJ Lining are proud to work with farmers and agricultural contractors to support them in satisfying the legal obligations set out by the Nitrate Pollution Prevention Regulations. They require that agricultural land which is situated within nitrate vulnerable zones must provide additional slurry storage for up to 6 months out of every year. As a responsible company, we fully adhere to the SSAFO regulations for the supply and installation of our geomembrane liners. Known as lagoon liners, these are specialist geomembrane materials which contain agricultural waste, such as manure. Under the auspices of the Environment Agency, there are various restrictions in relation to the storage of agricultural waste on farms and all of ASJ Lining’s geomembranes comply with EA guidelines. We provide quality liners that ensure the containment of waste and the prevention of seepage.
To meet EA standards, we recommend the use of HDPE, FPP or LLDPE liners in either smooth or textured for highly effective waste containment. Taking into account local conditions, HDPE liners can tolerate extreme weather fluctuations from intense heat to sub-zero temperatures. With a density thickness in the range of 1.00 to 2.00 mm, all of our liners offer impermeable protection against a variety of liquid and solid waste. We apply Quality Assurance standards to our liner materials and provide fully accredited laboratory testing and guarantees with every supply. HDPE, FPP and LLDPE liners are ecologically friendly, with high levels of tensile strength and flexibility, puncture and tear resistance, as well as offering optimal impermeability.
Soil condition should be factored into any farm waste project when selecting a liner. We are pleased to share our expertise to advise you and, where required, can apply a specialist geotextile foundation to safeguard against uneven surfaces caused by stones. We can also supply and fit fixtures and fixings for concrete assemblages and pipe entries.
