LLDPE gives a high degree of puncture resistance and ductile flexibility. Fabricated from a fusion of ethylene and other alpha-olefins, co-polymerization occurs at low pressure and temperature. LLDPE is notable for its capacity to stretch when exposed to stress, and its resistance to chemicals.
HDPE is a popular choice for geomembrane liners due to its availability and relatively low cost. Well known for its resistance to chemicals, as well as protection from environmental effects like ozone and ultraviolet radiation, HDPE liners are regularly utilised in landfill and mining processes.
EVA can withstand heat up to 96 degrees Celsius and enjoys triple the flexibility of low-density polyethylene. Renowned for its barrier efficacy, it offers stress resistance and waterproofing, with minimal odour.
Although more expensive, FPP liners are considered an improvement on HDPE geomembranes in relation to greater crack resistance and tensile quality. FPP geomembranes are also noted for being easier to repair as they age, as well as less complex for installation.
